Here is the article of the week for the week of Sept 20-24. It is the text of President Obama's Back to School Speech from September 8.

Make sure your answers are in paragraph form, full and complete sentences.

Preident Barack Obama gave a speech on September 8, 2009. The purpose of this speech was to talk to students about their education and what is expected of them. "Every single one of you has something you're good at...you have something to offer... you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That's the opportunity an education can provide." says President Obama. The President's main idea is that you need to work hard not just in school, but in everything, if you want to be succesful. This speech reminded me that i need to do good in school. I think this was a very good speech.

On September 8th, 2009, president Obama gave a back to school speech to Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. The speech was about how you should stay in school and try your hardest even if you keep on failing. The intended audience was not only the students at the high school, but also other students in america that are having trouble or are struggling. The main idea was to tell students that you should do your best and even if you fail, just try, try again. Some supporting ideas was some examoles of students of kids who had struggle, for example, a student with brain cancer, but they still pulled on through. I loved the speech. I admire Obama very much and that was a wonder speech and still motivates me to try my hardest. It should inspire almoste anyone attending a school, failing or not. It was just inspirational.

The title of this article is "Text of President Obama's School Speech" the date this article came out was September 8, 2010. This article came from ABC News. The article was a speech for Obama to talk about kids, all ages, about education on most kids first day of school. Children in school and educators are the intended audience of this article. The main idea is to tell kids to stay in school because it is beneficial. One of the supporting ideas is the little story that he told about when he was little and had to wake up early for school every day and even though he didn't like it he still woke up. Another supporting idea is President Obama's examples at the end of the article, the way that your classes help you get interested in for what you want to be when you are older. This article got me thinking and i think that some people should pay more attention in classes and respect their elders more. The way i reacted to this article was "Wow... he is speaking to every student all over the world and the things that he is talking about works for just about every single student."

President Barack Obama's back to school speech has many key ideas such as a students responsibility to discover the area in which they excel, that what ever you want to do you need an education, and that even though you are going through adversity and complication never give up. All of us have a certain skill that can help the world improve in some way. If we do not discover that skill we can miss out on the chance to change the world into a better place. School can be very helpful when looking for this skill because you can discover it during a class, club, or extra caricular activity. Another key idea is that what ever you decide to do in you you need an education. You can not drop out of school and start a good job. This makes Staying in school is very important. One last major idea is that you can not give up on a problem when it becomes "too" difficult. If everyone did that hardly anything would be accomplished in this world.

This A.O.W. is called "President Obama's School Speech." This speech was made and read by our president, Obama. It was published Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in Arlington, Va. His intention of this was to give his remarks on back to school. The intended audience was students returning to school. His main idea was to show the students that they are still on his mind. It’s good that he hasn't forgotten the students. I think he should set aside more funding and focus explicitly on issues affecting students of our time.

President Obama's Back To School Message For Students, Taken from abc News. The speech was presented on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in Arlington, Va. The meaing for the speech Barrack Obama presented was to get kids focus on school. He was trying to reach out to the students of america from any place of the country. He want kids to be more hard working and to never give up after the first try. He was telling america about his childhood. About having his father leaving him when he was 2 years old and his mother who would work with him at 4:30 in the morning just to get him a better education. He also talk about you don't know who your going to be if you just quit. You could be the next inventor who comes up with the hottest phone if you turn in that science project. Basicly.... If you don't try you will be in a bad place. All the good jobs you see on the tv showing people being successful without truing. But as reality creeps in you realize there no job for a lazy person. Then you finally realize the saying "No Pain, No Gain". Meaning you can't succeed without working hard.

    Barrack Obama.
President Barrack Obama's speech was very powerful and meaningful. He informed us readers and listeners, but directly to students that we have to do our part in school. Even if we don't like it,and even if we had the best teachers, the best school, and the best education it would still depend on us. We'd have to listen and pay attention to what their teaching us. I liked his speech and what he was trying to reach out to us students because its all very true.
