Peer Editing

Everyone who comes in with a paper will edit someone else's paper.

You must sign up on the paper at the front table for credit as an editor because your editing sheet will go with the writer.

On your editing sheet (your paper) make sure that both writer and editor's names are listed.

Step One:
READ their paper. Slowly, carefully. READ it.

Step Two:
Answer these questions:
1. What questions do you have for the writer based on what you just read?
2. What do you find confusing or unclear?
3. What do you think could be expanded upon?
4. Is there anything that is distracting?

Step Three:
Mechanics. Circle (but do NOT correct) mechanical errors.
*Mechanics include: spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.
