The NPR radio-broadcast on February 25,2008 “A Drive to Achieve the Extraordinary”, by Juliet Frerking is about how the Guinness World Record Book inspired her to do things she wouldn’t do otherwise. This is written for age groups of young adults. Her main idea was for other people to challenge themselves to do something out of the ordinary. The Guinness Book of World Records taught her to believe that she could accomplish things that seem impossible because the book was full of things that seemed like they couldn’t be done. My reaction to this broadcast is that I want to be able to challenge myself to do something that I am not familiar with.

A drive to achieve the extraordinary is the title. It came from ‘This I believe’ website while it was written in February, 25, 2008. They wrote it to show how this lady is convince that she can do about anything and that things that are impossible to do can be achieved. It’s meant for anybody that thinks they can’t do anything. That people can do just about anything as long as they put their heart and mind into it.She uses the genius world record book as an example to show what people can do that they think can’t happen in reality. I just think that she is telling us to not give up in what we think is hard but in reality parts in life is hard but all you got to do is stick with it till it’s over and that’s how you can accomplish the things that you think is hard.

"A Drive to Achieve the Extraordinary," is from NPR radio-broadcast by Juliet Frerking. It was heard on Febuary 25, 2008. Juliet Frerking was mainly speaking for people around the ages of 12-20, to help them understand that you could make history and set records that you think are near impossible. Juliet is still trying to set new records to this day. I think that Juliet had the right idea, and that people shouldn't be scared or freaked out to step outside of their boxes to try something new, and make history.
